El Rincon story

Rene was born and raised in Veracruz, both a coastal and farming state in Mexico. His mom taught him how to cook and at the young age of 12, he made his first tamales and the rest is history. He started making dishes and seasoning meat and seafood like Carnitas, chorizo, Aguachile and Birria to name a few.


He wanted to help his mother and his 8 siblings, so he decided to look for a job outside his hometown. He travelled several states of Mexico which helped him develop his own style in the kitchen without forgetting his mother’s advice. He came to the United States with the idea of working hard to be able to open his own restaurant.


Today his employees and family members applaud his effort and tenacity in achieving his dream and opening“El Rinconcito de Mexico.”


He dedicates all his hard work to his family and his mother. In his words: “El es lo que es gracias a su mama.”
